I have been looking for a G Sync monitor but they are so expensive ($600 - $800 on sale).

When I saw this deal I decided to go with this freesync monitor instead because even though I'm running an Nvidia RTX 2070 - and would like the GSync - I have had great luck with Acer monitors in the past and this is very cheap in comparison to other monitors (including other Free Sync and G Sync versions)

Others users purchasing this monitor report overclocking it to 118-120 Mhz - so I figured at $399 there isn't much to lose for an ultra-wide 34" 2k Monitor.

Great monitor! I got this monitor the last time it went on sale for $399 and it's been worth every penny. I've been playing multiple games on it and they all look gorgeous!

Unfortunately, ultrawide support in gaming is garbage.
I see this comment all the time and it's just not true. Virtually all titles have 21:9 support. Not only that but if you watch movies on your PC, most movies are shot in 21:9 and displaying them on an ultrawide monitor will fill the entire screen negating any black bars you see on a traditional 16:9 screen/TV.

At least it has something in common with your post history.

Solid value. Got it from eBay with 15% off during Black Friday and got it out the door for $406.
The stand is significantly better than Monoprice and urlhasbeenblocked.
Easily overclocked too.
Terrific all around.

Not true at all... Even older games I've been playing since I got my LG 34" 1440p a few weeks ago all games with fine with no issues. Games that are 10+ years old even work fine. Most even already have the native res set when I start them. If not just head into options and it's listed along with all the others.

Personally, I can't tell the difference between 96hz and 120hz and 144hz.

But the difference between 60hz and 96hz is staggering

Picked this up for $398 the last time it went on sale in November. Worth every penny in my book. Check out the discussions/ comments from the previous post and it's a damn good deal for what it's got.
