Great, great series. Choke up a bit just remembering how I felt the first time viewing. Really thought it captured the book well.

I bet the ending will be the same, though.

Terrible show...I think I made it one episode. The scene with the kid attacked by like 20 snakes in the water did me in. I'm sure it was good for its tome but it has not held up.
Thought the same at first, like when the cattle are struck by lightning, but kept on watching, and it grew on me. It may be the best acting and plot I've seen in a western.

If you like Westerns at ALL and haven't seen this, this is the easiest purchase you'll make today. Great movie and even better acting by Duvall.
