Refurbished Samsung QN65Q65FNFXZA 65" QLED at Micro Center for $999

Found it in my local Micro Center. Costco has the same exact TV for $1499.
Not sure how different it is from Samsung QN65Q6FNAFXZA sold by Micro Center at $1,599. But this seems like a good deal to me.

He noted it because you edited your title; originally it didn't say refurbished, so he got the same email alert that I did which made it look like a brand new one for $999.

The local dimming is supposedly really bad on this, according to rtings. Only thing keeping me from buying it. Anyone have this TV and have a different experience?

I bought a refurbished one last time it was posted. It was double boxed and looked brand new. Local dimming isn't bad at all. I don't notice any excessive blooming or anything with normal content. If you look at a white square on a black background then yes you can see it but it's not a distraction at all.

You can also buy a three year warranty for $79.00 or a Four year warranty for $99.99. Great Deal in my opinion.

they recommended the tcl 6 over the sammie q6 because the local dimming & brightness are better than the q6 (sorry, the q6 is out of my budget, didn't read the review)?

The Q6 and Q7 are edge kit of course their local dimming is terrible. The Q6 55"+ is still a great low cost choice for gamers thanks to first on the market with freesync (2) support so a big win for Xbox one x owners.

I tried the Q6 and went straight to the Q9 I've had for 2 months now. Major improvements I noticed are the local dimming obviously, slightly snappier response times (I assume the external connect box is faster) and the Q6 definitely has an inferior glare resistance. The Q9 is also insanely bright compared to every no OLED TV I've ever used including the Q6.

How much did you pay for the q6 and the q9?

I "think" authorized Samsung dealers are restricted from selling below a specific price unless its a sale authorized by Samsung so places like Microcenter and Walmart are selling new as refurbished to get around the restriction - just a theory - I ordered one being delivered Saturday so we shall see, fingers crossed

This tv is new for $1199 using EPP from Samsung with 1 year warranty - I believe refurbs only come with 90 day so extended warranty might be worth it.
