Bad product. A chrome book doesn't need that fast of a processor since you can't use normal programs on it. It's just apps and web based stuff. Overpriced and unnecessary power
Actually, not only can you run Android apps on it, but soon you'll be able to run windows on it as well.

It supports full Linux out of the box. You can develop Android apps on it. Hell, you can run Civ VI on it, although I'm not sure how well it runs.

Good deal. Bu taking into account all the restrictions of a Chrome OS, $600 iss still too expensive for a chromebook.

OP nice work. This is a good deal. The only part that's questionable is the Geeksquad certified part of it. Otherwise, I'd definitely jump on this if I hadn't just leveraged my arm and leg for Christmas.

Its pretty dang close, this can only run basic games at best. When the top games to play on this require no major hardware acceleration you know there are still problems. Chrome OS is still very MEH at best and this is no where near worth $600.
previous poster says chromeos is limited in ways it was back in 2012
I make the comment that it's not 2012 anymore and chromeos has greatly evolved
and you bring up gaming to suggest my point isn't valid?

even if the pixelbook was the worse gaming rig in the history of computers it wouldn't invalidate the point that chromeos has evolved beyond only being able to run web apps.

edit: my issue with this deal would be the 90 day warranty

Excuse me while I puke. TD, shitty processor. Google and the people who buy their products based on the name. Chrome books with better specs were selling for under $500 so this is not a deal.

Not to mention I can get a full blown windows computer for under this price too.
Says the guy who probably buys Apple products for the name 😂
