Good product, nice price +Costco guarantee with one caveat.

This B&H review quote spells it out.

Quote :
Work best when you set the resolution to 200% in Windows.
If I'm word processing, coding or anything with text, 27" @4K is tedious to view. 27" @1440 is less strenuous while working with text.

Yeah 27"@4K is a dreadful resolution. Text too small at native res, and too large at 4x (i.e. 1080p effective). The best res for a 27" is 5K, so you can have 1440p with 4x the res of native 1440p. I find native 1440p for working on to be a blurry/jagged mess these days after using 5K.

anyone have a good recommendation for affordable 4k 30"+ office monitor? Word processing, excel, couldn't care less about color accuracy, etc.

How about two 27" x 2?

Those specs I'd go for some Monoprice monitor. For example this one: https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=27772

I've never owned or used a Monoprice monitor, but have used plenty of Dells and Dell monitors are usually fairly high quality, especially the Ultrasharp line. I have never had a Monoprice product that screamed "high quality". YMMV

Buy now, return later. Costco.

Oh, $10 shipping...you'd have to eat that. 😎

You're mistaken. Costco refunds shipping as well.

And FYI - this is a great monitor but 4K 27" @ 100% DPI is gonna be brutal. Take my word for it. 1440p @ 27" is the perfect match.

Well he was asking for "affordable", so I thought Monoprice fits the bill better than Dell.

I have 2 of these and they both look amazing and they both lock up from the same issue. Do not buy these and expect to switch between inputs regularly. The monitor will lock up from having multiple inputs attached. I bought these just before I got a PS4 Pro and God of War and these monitors are very high quality though. People cry over the 60Hz, but my eyes just doesn't see a real difference at high refresh rate. My eyes do see the incredible detail in this 4k monitor though.
