Any reason for the down-voting? This laptop sells around $2499 everywhere else. Also, this is probably the thinnest laptop with a GTX 1080 and this is a standard one, not Max-Q version. In fact, there is actually no deal with a GTX 1080 at this price point.

I am thinking it's because of the Ebay seller account. It has been getting a bad rep within the last couple days.

People not getting their laptop and orders being cancelled.

If I had my 10 percent eBay buck coupon I would bite

This 1080 maxq is only marginally better than a gtx 1070. With RTX 2060 announced today beating gtx 1070, I would say this is the new normal price for older models.

Why you are seeing this to be a Max-Q?

This laptop actually has a 1080 max q. Still better than a GTX 1070, but it's heavily gimped compared to the full 1080. This is still a really good deal though, you can't find a laptop with these specs for anywhere near the price. And like you said, this laptop is almost $1000 more everywhere else.
