Great price,

Game has pretty high min requirements:
Processor: CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 or AMD FX 8350 or better
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 / AMD RX Vega 56 or better
HTC Vive w/sensors

Reported to run substandard even with a 1080TI

Worth it at this price but if you don't already have Skyrim VR, I would put your money towards that first. Its a much better package all around.

Runs fine on my Oculus Rift with a 1080.

Crap. Was going to get it but I only have a RX480. Thanks for the tip.

Good price, but I still think it kinda sucks I have to put more money into it even after owning the GOTY edition.

Also, reviews do not sound good for it. Lots of people on Steam say it's buggy to the point of unplayable.

Can verify this, I tried to run it with a 1070 and 4590 and it was unplayable. Evidently there is significant modding you can do to get it playable but I would expect to put in about 2 hours to get to that point. I now have a 1080 and i5 8400 and need to try it out again when I have time but fully expect to need modding before I get reprojection under control.

Certainly runs a ton better and is really fun! I'd highly suggest the dragonborn speaks naturally mod that lets you speak your dialog selections. Whole game feels even more immersive. Works great with the built in mic on my samsung odyssey, can't vouch for other headsets.

Skyrim VR is less buggy. Fallout is just a cash cow for Bestheda to milk and abuse

It's pretty cool but like most VR games, after a couple hours, the novelty falls off. The melee is kind of hard to do. It was really to just walk around looking at things up close and personal.

It will run with whatever card you go with, however don't expect stellar performance even if you have best video card on market. For me game runs OK with 1060 with Oculus Rift. No heavy modding, just some VR texture mods and tweaks that you can find on Nexus. Search for VR and you'll find them in no time.

So yes, mods are essentially required to make game run easier. And even more fun when you consider that modding will solve your particular tastes on how you want to play the game. Fallout 4 VR is currently one of the few games that offer very good sandbox gameplay (not to mention modding).

One thing. If you already have DLC, you can use them with your VR copy. However, you will need mod fixes to play them correctly. And some DLC will only be partially playable.

So get your mod game on! Highly recommended is BulletTime (slows time down) which can make whole game play like Robo Recall (Oculus)

It was cheaper from HTC a few weeks back. It was convoluted but you also got some other things too. It started by signing up for the 2 week free trial of Viveport. That gave you a $10 Viveport credit and you got to buy Superhot, Arizona Sunshine and some other games for $1/each. You could apply the $10 credit towards a 3 month subscription to Viveport. It's $20 so the $10 credit made it $10 out of pocket. That 3 month subscription came with a free copy of FO4 VR. So it was $10 for FO4 VR, 3 months of Viveport membership and the $1 prices for a bunch of games that sell for more than $20.

I believe the term is buggy to the point of being Bethesda.
