Price isn't bad but reviews have not been the best. Mostly due to the port was botched. My guess is it'll drop more like how the port of Spyro and Crash have.

^ That's unfortunate. The PS4 version was such a good game, one of the few left with an awesome couch co-op experience.

Games on NS are always expensive, even after discount. The same game I bought from Xbox store was only $5 on sale.

My kids loved this game. If it's for a child it's worth it. I as a grownup got bored with it.

From what I heard, the framerate and load times problems were already patched a long time ago.

I had this game (for Switch) about a year ago and I don't really recall any performance issues?? I enjoyed it. There are other platforming games I would definitely recommend over this one (Celeste comes to mind) but I thought the art was fantastic and had some great levels, especially the music ones. And the couch co-op is great if you have friends/kids.

I posted these thoughts in an older thread when someone posted a similar deal:

here is my perspective. to give you some idea, I really, really enjoyed Celeste. I beat the regular game (Celeste) without much difficulty aside from 1 or 2 parts. I didnt get all the strawberries. I tried the B-side levels and they were too hard for me / I didnt have the urge to put in the effort required.

I really enjoyed Rayman legends too. The beginning world is painfully boring and I can see how someone would play the whole first world (which is like 4 to 6 levels) and be bored. Plus IIRC they don't even teach you how to run until the second world, so the first world feels especially REALLY slow and boring. But after that the difficulty starts to ramp up gradually.

Each level you collect "lums" which are kind of like Celeste's strawberries, except the lums are actually used to unlock future levels. You can progress through the whole base game by just collecting the easy to get to lums. To unlock some of the later levels / bonus levels you'll need to get some of the trickier lums in each stage.

Once you start making progress the game's diffculty does ramp up. And when you start unlocking things you will start seeing "Invaded" Levels pop up, which are levels you already played but played in reverse and with a hard time limit. And after you beat the main game you unlock some really hard stages (although some of them I would classify more as "cheap" rather than hard).

I'd rank it like this:
Regular story levels Rayman are easier than Celeste regular story levels.
Some lums in Rayman levels are on par with the hard strawberries in Celeste A and B side.
The invaded levels in Rayman are on par with the harder Celeste A side parts and early B side.
The last bonus / hardest levels in Rayman seem more cheap to me than fair hardness.

The beginning parts of Rayman are easy and boring but later on in the game it definitely has some challenge and requires some precise platforming. I would recommend it easily at $20 if you like platforming.

edit: since you mentioned Mario Odyssey - I found Rayman Legends a tiny bit harder to beat (base game + getting ~half lums) than Mario Odyssey (base game + getting ~half moons)

Nice! Got it for $14.99 (GCU and $1.00 local pick up trick). Pretty good for a switch game

I played through this on Switch last year, don't recall any technical issues -- loading, frame rate etc all seemed fine. Game was enjoyable if a bit short. Music levels were the best part to me personally. For the price I paid ($16 with GCU) I am happy.

Did you actually spend more than 5 minutes playing? Or do you just get bored with all games that quickly? Or are you just a "COD gamer bro"?

It's one of the best couch co-op games in the last decade.
