$719 - 10% with code SPVGAJANTEN - $15 rebate card = $632.99

Shoprunner 2-day shipping, no tax for many, and an additional $15 rebate card, this is the best RTX 2080 deal I could find.

FYI, this is a reference board design, not a Founders Edition board. OC Scanner in applications like MSI Afterburner should get your GPU up to Founders Edition speeds.

Plus free Anthem and Battlefield V codes, too!

First posted deal, hope everything was covered.

$647.99 - $200 (ebay going rate for my 980 ti hybrid) worth it? I'm still rocking a i7 4770 non K and a 3440x1440 ultrawide montior.

seems hard to justify these cards when a 1070ti was recently $350 for most of us. I bought a 1070ti recently and in that thread it was mentioned the 2060s are coming out real soon and expected to also be around $350. If so, id hope they would put downward pressure on these 2080s. Anyone notice better VR experience going from 1080 to 2080s?
I didn't notice any VR difference when i went from the 1070 to the 1080ti. On the other hand, while I was already able to play plenty of games in 4k with the 1070, the 1080ti in 4k (60Hz, on my 48" Sony TV) is just delicious. I am skipping the 2000 series.

you guys have literally said this for years and have never been right once. model has been the same since at least 2007. launch = highest price. mid season you get sales and end of life you get the best deals but by then it's end of life. nvidia is pushing sales now early cycle simply because there are so many used cards on the market from broke PoW coins and people selling them by the dozen...literally
Blah blah blah. I suggested people wait 2 more days. Navi is coming and if it's as good as it's rumored to be, worth the wait. Plus, eff nvidia and their price fixing.

Like all tech products and all previous GPUs (ignoring the crazy crypto mining phase), yes these 2080 & 2080 ti prices will go down with time and as the next generation release date gets closer. But why would the AMD keynote or the 2060 release cause these cards to drop in price? The 2060 and none of expected near future AMD products will compete with these cards in terms of performance. If you want 1080 ti level of performance or better, your only options are to 1) buy a used 1080 ti for not that much cheaper than this 2) buy a 2080 or 3) buy a 2080 ti. The high-end & enthusiast level GPUs have always carry a high premium when compared to the more mainstream GPUs.
With every new release, prices drop. In the last 2 months I've seen more drops than ever at all performance levels. AMD's Navi may be announced at the keynote. If the rumors are true, will take a huge chunk of change from nvidia. The reported price to performance ratio is exciting and I'm not the only one hoping AMD will step up like they did with Ryzen to take on Intel.

These things stop catching fire yet?

Anyway, these cards are too expensive and Newegg is a horrible company to deal with if you have any issues at all with the crap you buy from them.

Umm, because AMD is going to be offering 1080 performance for $250 and it won't even be the top of the line card... This means they're likely to have a competitor for this card as well and it will likely be around the $400 to $500 price range!

That's why these prices will go down.

I remember in the late 90s and very early 2000s, Newegg was considered to be one of the best online stores in regards to customer service. Wonder what happened? Although I must say I've never had an issue with them.

I say 100% do it. I went from a 3930k + 980 @3440x1440 to a 8700 + evga 2080 @3440x1440. The performance boost is definitely worth it for normal games, and then add in RT and DLSS and it should be well worth it from a performance standpoint.

Will run BF5 without RT at constant 60fps+ (my monitor is only 60hz). With DX12 + RT, anywhere from 40fps-60fps+ with dips into the 30s.

And y'all need to stop equating these cards to the 10 series. You clearly don't understand the significance of these cards. Where these cards shine the most are 2k/4k resolution, and with future titles, DLSS + RT (which the 10 series will NOT be able to utilize). Bottom line, if you have a 1080/ti, wait for the next cards. If you're still rockin 980 or below, the upgrade is 100% worth it (and I bought it on release at $750 and have zero regrets)
