So you sold a defective controller and don't like using sentences good for you that's great man I hope you made a profit or at least didn't lose too much money which is expected when you sell a used item unless it's to a total noob

Not a groundbreaking deal, but a good one if you need a new controller.

Plus, the bonus of buying from Walmart is if you keep that receipt, (packaging helps too) you should have a 90 day warranty if you end up with a lemon--which seems to happen too often with this gen of controllers.

Head over to Reddit, there's tons of topics posted about broken controllers and controllers that are basically defective out of the box. I don't know if I'm just lucky or people are truly more monster than they claim to be.

Personally, between owning all three lines of Xbox One since the OG bundled with the Kinect in 2013, I currently own 6 functioning controllers (plus three I thought I was going to mod but gave up on) and I know I've owned at least three more, and I've had problems only twice: the first a white controller that was the pack-in from the first "S" console I purchased--that had bad ABXY that were oddly sunk in, the other was a standalone white "S" controller I purchased with a bumper problem, other than those I've never personally had any other issues.

OMG that reminds me! I bought a controller from Kohl's and when I opened it, it has a FOOKTON of ants! Literally 4,000 dead sugar ants EVERYWHERE. I think that's a first. Controller still occasionally shakes out a few bodies when I'm gaming, and sometimes the buttons get stuck. Frown

Hey, can someone explain how the batteries work on the xbox one controller. The other platforms (PS4, Switch) use built-in LiPo type batteries, and they have convenient charging docks with them.

The microsoft site recommends AA Alkaline batteries for Xbox One controller. But it looks like you can buy rechargable packs with accompanying charging docks via aftermarket.

So, if I plan on using this for PC gaming, and expect to use it for 6+ years, I really like the idea of not having built-in LiPo batteries that degrade after a couple years. That's the reason I've been avoiding the PS4 and Nintendo Switch controllers. You might be able to buy LiPo battery packs for them as replacement I think, but in 15 years are you likely to find these still?

It seems like the Xbox One controller fits long-term PC gaming use the best. Convenient dock option available via third party, but able to use for many years due to AA battery form factor. I don't play much, but I keep my controllers for years, so wear and tear isn't usually an issue.

Any opinions?

Because I bought it but had it lying around for about 2-3 months before I opened it. Too late for a return :'(
