RAM $50
HDD $40

It's at least $400 without Windows and DVD if you build it yourself, or around it.

Great deal. I bought this last month from Amazon at $419. 2TB drive vs 1 and 12GB vs 8. I bit because they offered 5 installments at $84 a month with no interest. I've never seen installments offered at Amazon before.

OP: https://slickdeals.net/f/12406396

I initially got the MSI Radeon RX 570 8GB for it for $145.99 - $20 rebate. It fits perfectly in the case with no modifications.

OP: https://slickdeals.net/f/12425125

I scored an ASUS Radeon RX 580 8GB for $120 shipped on eBay (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B071L1VGQW). This beast barely fits in the case. The HDD/SSD chassis rested snugly on top of the PSU graphic card connector preventing screwing down the chassis tightly. The chassis spans the length of the case and will accommodate only ONE 2.5" or 3.5" drive. It's a really crappy design IMO.

I got the Crucial 1TB SSD for $89 to replace the HDD. Since it's solid state, I got rid of the chassis and used a strip of Scotch foam mounting tape and mounted it to the front wall inside the case. So the RX 580 fits easily in the case now.

OP: https://slickdeals.net/f/12442201

I also splurged and got the Crucial 1TB M.2 2280 SSD for $105. Thankfully it came with a mounting screw since the motherboard doesn't have one.

OP: https://slickdeals.net/f/12426592

I picked up a fully modular EVGA PSU (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LWTS2UL) from Amazon Warehouse for $38. It has a mode for zero fan noise during low loads. So this PC is completely silent until I game.

One thing to note is both video cards above cover the PCI Express x1 slot. Here's the layout of the motherboard: http://us.v-cdn.net/6029997/uploa...wz34l1.png

I'm eyeing the refurbished ViewSonic XG2402 FreeSync monitor @ $179.99 to complete my build: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-li...B075D1B4SV

PM if you have any questions about this PC.

Your build comes out to $518, uses a much worse processor, a used hard drive, a possibly illegal copy of Windows 10, no optical drive, and no RAM.

Once again people, you can't build it cheaper.

Looks like it could run Blue Iris pretty well - https://ipcamtalk.com/wiki/bbcode.24/archive - look under "Full Details"

I'm not familiar enough with current pricing to judge how much of a deal it is/isn't.

As a tech dummy, might be an apples to oranges comparison, but how does this stack against https://www.staples.com/hp-pavilion-desktop-590-p0050-intel-i5-1tb-hdd-24gb-ram-windows-10/product_2... [staples.com], apart from the extra 100 bucks

Doesn't really look like anything other than brand name I like how they added the 16gb optane memory with the 8 gig stick to get the 24 number to look more appealing tho lol

At a quick glance, for an average consumer, it's essentially the same configuration and performance. The HP does have wireless keyboard and mouse, but the difference is not worth the extra money. The 16 GB Optane "memory" is a marketing gimmick. It's not the memory you want/need.

No. This likely doesn't have connectors for a GPU and it's doubtful the 300W PSU can do anything more than a 1050TI.

Nevermind space.

Plus wifi and a DVD drive if those are valued items! Closer to 450 probably.
PSU/Case heavily limits your expandability later on. Great deal for 1050TI GPU though.
