HF model doesn't have an audible continuity tester, which I personally use a lot testing guitar shielding and electronics. You can test without the beep, but the beep makes it easier for sure. Also folding back stand and back light are not on the free with purchase HF model.

EDIT: In addition to the other differences noted above, this multimeter has a 'HOLD' button to freeze the reading on the screen which also can be useful. HF model doesn't.

Doesn't look much better than ones that are given away at Harbor Freight.

I've had this multimeter for 3 years. It's great for the price.

The frequent Tacklife deals are much better. Autoranging, has continuity and so much more.

Is it 3 1/2 or 4 1/2 digit? I can't find anything on that.

Looks like the Chinese "XL830L", which itself looks like the Chinese "A830L" in a different plastic skin. These can be had for less on the fleabay BIN, probably less than that if you can catch one on auction.

Sears used to carry decent multimeters and periodically closed them out at good prices. I guess that's all over with now.

Side note: Trying to measure 10A through those "budget" test leads is just going to result in melted leads.
