I picked these up a few weeks ago and wanted to post a PSA. The volume for me was super low. I did some Googling and found that a firmware update fixes the issue. That is all.

Depends on how responsible your 7 year old is. I wouldn't spend $100 on a headset for a 7 year old, plenty of comfortable and serviceable headsets for well under that if they are going to leave it laying around or run over it with their chair. Regardless, plenty good for a 7 year old.

I have a lot of issues with my Logitech G933 which is the only comparable headset to this. Has anyone tried both?

For those wondering, my main issues are:
USB stick randomly dying
Power button sensitive to touch i.e. low sound/static if not in the "right" position
Headband cushion coming unglued
Various sound issues that have to be solved by uninstalling the driver and reinstalling the software

When did your issues arise? I have the G933 and so far no problems but was considering in returning them and possible getting the HyperX instead. Only problem is the negative review stating the HyperX mic volume is very low and can not be adjusted to be louder for chatsound....

Wow! I have had mine for almost 2 years (story below!) and I have not experienced any of these issues. I probably game on average of 2/3 hours a night so they get a lot of use on my PS4. Have you reached out to Logitech? They have been amazing for me on two warranty replacements (one for a mouse and none on the G933!)

I actually got the G933 as a warranty replacement for my G930s. I broke the charge port on them (and I know it I did it because I happened when I dropped them with the cable in) to the point where charge was intermittent and eventually quit on me. I reached out to them and they offered me a store credit as they said they didn't have any of mine. I pushed my luck and asked for the G933's and they gave me them. I have had those since and have not looked back. I would seriously look at getting in touch, if nothing more than to get a headset you can sell to pay for the clouds haha

On the topic at hand, I believe the clouds are a very good headset and if I am not mistaken are the headset that Shroud uses. More than enough endorsement for me to use them as I have never heard him complain about them (ok maybe he is sponsored but I think he would ditch that if he didn't like them!)

How's the battery on these? These worth paying the difference from the Hyper Cloud II USB headset? Just got that one for my son yesterday.

Mute button is the entire logo piece on the left side. You just press on it.

Buy the steel series artic 7 instead for It has better reviews. https://www.rtings.com/headphones...age/gaming
I bought mine at the end of last year for 109.99 directly from steelseries with 2 extra ear customs and a carry bag included. Amazon and best buy also had them at that price.

I have the gen 2 A50's... not that great. Sound quality is just meh, battery is meh, but the comfort is very good.

I'd assume the hyperx are better...

Overall would you purchase the A50's or another headset?
