I had one of the original air fryers for the last 2 years so let me give you some quick tips on these things

First, I recommend you get the biggest you absolutely can.

Some of these are a smallest 3 quarts, this is a 5-quart which isn't terribly big either although it sounds big.

The reason you want this is because once you start using it, you're going to find making things like chicken fingers and fries difficult unless you cook them separately

They only sell you on the idea of cooking entire turkeys and chickens, but in my experience it's more about trying to cook an entire meal all at once in the airfryer because you can't cook in an air fryer and a regular oven at the same time to do the air fryer cooking so fast.

Secondly, make sure you get something that's easy to clean

My original air fryer is very hard to clean

The basket comes out, but it's consistently caked with grease and although it's supposed to be non stick, the coating came off and I had to use oven cleaner and abrasives to get the rest of it off to continue using it safely.

Certainly, make sure you have an outlet where you can plug this into that's not a powerstrip

These things draw a lot more power than you might think, and over Thanksgiving I had a power strip give out when I was trying to run an air fryer and a toaster oven on it.

It was an industrial strength power strip in my garage at that.

I'm looking towards the big boss air fryer, it has a ridiculous capacity and it's very cheap on eBay I would take a look towards that and I know you can also buy it from walmart.com to if you want to be able to make an easy return.

I agree. I bought the Big Boss mainly for this reason that it's easier to clean, plus it's clear so you can visually check your food without opening it.
Groupon currently has the 16qt Big Boss for $60.

Me too. I think I might get this one: https://www.costco.com/Gourmia-5-...04905.html Costco has a great return policy. BB only gives you 15 days. The costco one was just on sale tho and I missed it so I might try to wait. This will price match if something goes on sale within 30 days.

They're all annoying to clean. But it does what it's suppose to, I guess.

Edit: Supposedly like $45
https://slickdeals.net/newsearch.php?searchin=first&q=air+fryer+gourmia&r=1

A family member purchased this exact one a few days ago for me from Costco for $55 + tax.... was $58.01 in Wisconsin. Online price is $60. I don't know if it would be cheaper by $5 +tax/shipping if I signed in with a member ID etc.

It was ran with some of the packaging still inside (on accident), so unfortunately will get a replacement from Costco. It is recommended to run it a few times before use (obviously with packaging removed, lol)... because there will be a plasticy smell on the first several uses. There are several warnings about that on the paperwork that comes with it, too.

Although I'm tempted by this too for work, I agree Costco is probably the way to go considering their replacement policy.

so the big boss one is the easiest to clean vs the ones that look like coffee makers?
How do you clean that fan on the big boss or the machine that sits on top of the bowl and trays on the big boss?
