If I have a micro atx board, would the 2x16gb be acceptable or is it better to run 4x8gb?

unless you have AMD X399 or Intel X299 quad channel system, which the only ones that i am aware of in MATX format is X399M Taichi, X299 EVGA Micro and MSI X299M. you are better off running 2X16 than 4X8.

but if you are running on one of those prosumer boards, you won't be looking at non 3200 C14 Samsung B die rams anyways, the best performing 3200 C14 rams only come with single rank, 8G configuration. (which none of those are)

Ughh ... I am embarrassed to say that I am a 50 year old male building a rig and holding out for RGB RAM for the build. I can't believe that a couple color changing LEDs have me so fixated that I can pass on an equal in specs good RAM kit.

If you want Samsung B, you need to pay twice the price. There is no decent B die for cheap

I have two different sticks of ram 2667 hz and 2400 (because I'm a broke boi). Would swapping those out for these be a better investment in the long run if I plan on OC?

B-die under 140 hasn't happened and doubt it will for a while.

That's just crazy talk! I'm old enough to be your dad and I like shiny things too. Go RBG or go home! laugh out loud

Build the way you want to build. No one's opinion is greater than your own when it comes to building YOUR OWN pc! And being 50 years old shouldn't be a factor when it comes to building styles 🤟🏼 best of luck with your dope RBG build

do you really need 32gb of ram? it use to be 8gb as the norm a few years back. now the standard is 16gb which is plenty for most people. 32gb is a bit of an overkill. you can save yourself about 100$.

Bought this kit last week and it's working great on my cheap Z370 motherboard using XMP. Have noticed a slight increase in performance from ddr4-2400 on my i5-8600k
