The whole point is to get 2 sticks.

This is a deal for *2* sticks of 4GB for ~$37... That's a good deal for 2 sticks of 4GB. If you want 8GB this deal is not for you, but that doesn't make it a bad deal. Lol.

Maybe I'm just looking at it from a maximum GB potential. Each slot is too valuable to waste on a 4 GB stick, imo.

I can't afford 8GB sticks right now. This is an inexpensive way to get my build running.

Also, 8GB of RAM is enough for the majority of needs. It will be fine for me until I can afford more.

A deal should be rated on its cost savings over existing alternatives.

probably. Search Amazon. I'm not in the market for SO-DIMM but if you find a deal I can add it to the list.

Me. Cause it's cheap and I want to boot up my build. When I upgrade RAM later and I don't need these sticks, the $30 investment will not be a significant loss. And I can afford this right now.

Also, I have 8 slots... looks like we have different problems.

It's a good deal for 2x 4GB sticks of RAM. Leave your personal opinions about things out and focus on the fact that it's the cheapest way to get 8GB of quality RAM right now. If you know of a better deal than this, post it up.

Some people find that money is too valuable to waste on saving DIMM slots. You know that green stuff that you can actually exchange for goods and services. Try paying your rent with DIMM slots.
