These were announced yesterday. How could there be a previous price?

It's now the V series that will be the lower range of Vizio displays

Ask Vizio
https://www.vizio.com/v505g9.html laugh out loud

$10 savings vs buying from Vizio directly. Guessing $299 will be "everyday" price for this TV.

Weird that it was just announced but there are reviews from a month ago.

a rebranding of its E-series (now called V-Series),
Quote :
V-Series: These entry-level sets are the spiritual successors to the cheapest home theater-worthy TVs of 2018, the E-Series. Available in sizes from 40 to 75 inches, it offers up to 16 zones of local dimming, 400 nits peak light output and Vizio's now-standard 4K resolution with HDR10 and Dolby Vision compatibility. Vizio says some sizes will get IPS screens, but didn't specify which ones. If you're keeping track, there won't be an E-Series in 2019, and the D-Series is relegated to "full HD" (1080p) and not 4K. https://www.cnet.com/news/vizio-u...-ces-2019/

I bet this is the 2018 version, which is based on the 2018 D series (not the just announced 2019 version). No local dimming, but it does have something that the 2018 D series doesn't have, which is Dolby Vision. I bought my 2018 V505-G9 last week.

Any major differences between this and a D50x-G9? Just wondering from the point of view as a non member at Sam's club.

I just compared the two and can't see an difference in description. Both had 4K uhd and hdr, same resolution and size, the Wal-Mart normally sold for 428 and sams was 349 so I'd hope you'd get more for your money but without seeing them next to each other can't say for sure.

They are brand new. I just bought one at Costco, today. They are double-stacked and in-stock. Many people are returning their low-end Samsungs and exchanging for this one.

D series is listed as 60hz refresh while V series is 120hz.

I just purchased one at Costco today 1/13/19 for $289.99. Purchase at Sam's for $289.00 and get a one-year factory warranty. Purchase at Costco and Costco adds one-year = two-year factory warranty. Purchase with Costco Visa (by Citi) and Visa adds two more years = four-year warranty. Purchase a Costco extended warranty, by Square Trade, for $34.99 and get an additional 3 years for a total of SEVEN years. I confirmed all of this at Costco Membership and online. People are returning their Samsungs to exchange for this Vizio.

Hmm, trying to decide if I should return my TCL 5 series for this - anyone compared?
Viewing angles on the TCL are terrible
