I have this and also Bose QC series 2. While I have to say the Sony Xm3 is better ANC and sounds, I keep going back to the Bose QC for comfortability during my travels. Also, Sony xm3 mic for voice calling sucks. So in the end although ANC and sounds of Bose QC series 2 is not as good, it's my goto headphones for its all around pros over its cons

I have XM2. Sound quality is excellent. I wouldn't say they are very comfortable specially when you are wearing them in area with room temperature. I have found them to be comfortable in flight as vents constantly blows air from the top. I am planning to buy a small fan which can blow air towards ear to simulate flight scenario. If anyone has both XM2 and XM3 I would love to hear if comfort level improved in latest gen.
i believe the area for the ears is larger on the xm3. it did feel somewhat more comfortable than xm2 that i bought. my target and best buy have the xm3 on display to try out. the xm2 doesn't feel as comfortable as the wired bosed that i have. it worked fine for my flight but the bose were so much comfortable and it did a good job of noise cancellation.

i only fly maybe once or twice a year. i go to the gym more than 3 times a week and really need a pair to cancel the noise coming from the loud music blaring on their system. these are a little bulky for the gym but the bigger problem is sweating under the cups. i've been thinking of trying out the sony sports models with noise cancelling.

Not sure if there will be a better deal in the near future (3 to 4 months). I would get this if I already don't have a pair.
i think they were $300 during the holidays. i can see them dropping to under $300 next christmas. the bose version too.

Great pair of headphones! Definitely worth it at full price so any discount is a deal.

I just picked up a pair of these on Rakuten for $317 all in (vendor was in my state, so I had to pay taxes, but shipping was free). These are definitely worth it if your devices support the better Bluetooth codecs this does.

One caveat, to anyone who hasn't really used ANC headphones before, is it feels WEIRD. I hear these are better than the Bose QC35-II in that the ANC blocks out more noise, and in that the ANC creates less pressure so it's less uncomfortable. Even so, I can feel it and it's mildly uncomfortable. I wore them all day yesterday to try them out and I eventually got used to the feeling, but it's still odd when you first out them on again.

Great sound, great ANC. Make sure you connect to your devices using aptX HD or LDAC.

Can't beat the $220 price when AAFES had a special. This is a decent deal if you can get it without taxes.
Yeah that was such a good deal, but I had bought it a few days before when it was at $250 instead.

Note: The ANC is amazing, wore it on a flight to play Switch and didn't near a thing aside from the game.

BOSE buyers are cult members and not too bright. They are the type of consumer who destroys the marketplace with their irrational, low information brand fetish buying habits.
There aren't many alternatives to Bose in consumer electronics. Most people who talk shite about Bose often compare it to professional brands. Yes, there are better sounding speakers, but they are not readily available nor easy to install for regular consumers.

Before Sony 1000X and other newcomers, there were only Bose and Beats ANC headphones in the consumer market. And Sony had to make 3 iterations to make something that can compete with Bose. Give some credit to Bose.

Isn't that the standard tax rate?
