Not true at all. They send an email every month if/when the price changes on any item. I've personally never had a S&S order cancelled, and I've taken advantage of many Slickdeal prices here.

If you aren't diligent about checking your email once per month to keep up with price changes, that's on you.
You missed the big controversey a week or two ago here. Do a search.

That said, I always set a reminder for the last day to make changes and I review all prices of everything that is coming. And there's a good handful of times when the price is now lower or there's a coupon, so sometimes you can save even more by doing that. But good habit to be doing.

Gentlemen... your face and your body have vastly different requirements for cleansing. There is simply no way this generic bar of soap meets the needs of both. Do yourself a favor and purchase a facial soap designed for just such a purpose.
Bingo.

These "men's" all-in-one products are so condescending. I mean, fine if you're a broke college student, or camping and saving weight, but if they tried that with a women's product it would be laughed off the shelves.

I've had plenty S&S orders cancelled on me but always due to a product no longer being available for subscribe and save. Which is silly because sometimes it appears its just a different sku that is the same product that is available for subscribe and save.
Yes, I've had those a few times as well, but they're usually accompanied by a notification that they've substituted a similar item for roughly the same price. And of course you have time to go in and cancel the subscription if you don't like the item or price.

Look around this site and on Google, they most definitely can. It's in their policy.

For less then a buck I prefer to just order it and be done with it instead of manage SS stuff. I mean if you into saving .75 cent and risk blowing it and paying 24 bucks for it the second time that's a deal killer. I have found these types of products are best purchased at BJ'S/Costco for way consistently less money. This includes ALL household cleaning supplies as well. But in for 1 time delivery. Thanks OP

Yes, a search... On Slickdeals... Like that's going to accomplish anything lol.

I saw the "controversy" surrounding the changes in discounts and shipping policy, so maybe I'm missing something else.

They can cancel orders if they feel the price is too low, and charge you a higher price for future orders, without notifying you. Not cool.
Stop being so lazy, check your subscribe and save items before they ship each month to confirm you'll be charged the correct price, if not just cancel the subscription. Amazon sends reminder emails to check your s&s items for a reason. I cancel all of my s&s each month after they ship and start fresh for the upcoming month, so I know exactly what I'm paying for each subscribed item and only buy items I actually need in the coming month.

Dove usually has ok/decent ratings on EWG. This product is a 4. Fragrances are typically the worst offenders. Try and find unscented products or ones that use essential oils for the safest use. It's also simple (and cheap) to make your own now without lye and all that crazy stuff. A 2lb block of soap base (goats milk, shea butter, cocoa butter, oatmeal, etc.) like all those fancy hand-crafted ones are made from is only about $15. Just melt, add some essential oils and coloring (both optional), pour into mold, and let cool. Makes about 6-10 bars (depending on mold size/shape). Done in ~20 minutes... and feels just as good as those $5-10/ea hand crafted ones.

So you're telling me I shouldn't use my men's all-in-one body/face/car/dog/oven wash on each of those parts?

First of all, settle down, I'm not stating what happened to me personally. It's been reported by multiple people on here, and was actually posted on Facebook by Slickdeals because it was a big issue. I was just giving a heads up. I've had them cancel stuff on me, without notice, because it was out of stock. Interestingly, it was in stock a few days later.

Stop being so lazy, and and do a forum search.

This stuff disentegrates while you hold it. Bought a 10 pack and it doesn't really feel like soap. It's a "body bar"

Search PSA Amazon subscribe and save on the slickdeals search bar and read that whole post, they and many other people have a different experience
