I wanna start my trial for the first time. Can anyone tells me what exactly do I need to sign up for the subscription? If this mean anything, I have Xbox 360 console and controller. I also have MacBook Air but I doubt it compatible.

You probably want an Xbox 1 (either the S for around $200 or the X for around $400) to take advantage of all the games.

Make a Microsoft Live account, log into your Xbox 1, go to the Store.

There should be a $1 for a month deal. Click on that, pay the $1, go back to your profile, look under subscription, turn off auto-renew.

Download all the Game Pass games from the Store for free.

Enjoy for a month.

Do I really need Xbox? Will Mac laptop works? What are my other options, if any?

No. Mac will not work. If it's an xbox anywhere title you can play it on a windows 10 pc as long as you have the minimum hardware requirements. It's almost not worth it to use game pass just for xbox 360 games. I don't even know what x360 are on there. You can get cheap x360 games at game stop for less then what you are going to pay monthly for game pass.

I understand. Honestly I want to play Xbox one games like Forza Horizon 3, Sea of Theives and such, the cheapest route. I can get me a window pc

The cheapest route for that is probably going to be an Xbox 1.

Ok. Too bad there isn't a thing for me to rent a console just because Microsoft will be releasing a newer or upgraded console that make the current console inferior. The Xbox One X is decent and future proof but still expensive 😕

You could buy a used one, and then sell it later on, and consider whatever the price difference is as your "rental" fee.

If you can find one near you for $120, it's a steal.

Achievements are not for the meek, it is better to forfeit inheritance of the earth so that the mighty may look upon my gamerscore, and despair. Achievements are for men who dream; men who dare; men who achieve! Men who carve out entire galaxies with nothing more than nimble cheetos-dusted fingers and their wits, and in our leisurely twilight days we shall sit by softly flickering fires with our descendants recounting the tales of these unimaginable glories.
