True that. Here are the differences from the V1 to V2 for anyone interested:

Luggage pass-through on the rear panel
Upgraded FlexFold Dividers
More Durable Fabric on small internal pockets
Upgraded weatherproofing treatment to the exterior shell

If that's all the difference, seems like the improvements aren't worth the extra $120.

If you really load up the bag, it's way too heavy. A backpack style is preferred. I have the v1 and I hate using it frankly.

This. I have the Everyday backback and it's literally the perfect backpack. Incredible quality products from this company.

I have this bag in the darker charcoal grey. I use it as my office bag and I love it. It won't hold big laptops so be aware. I use a 14" ultrabook and even that is a bit snug. People say it'll hold a 15" Macbook pro but don't expect anything bigger than that to fit.

I have this bag as well and at this price, it's a steal. I also use it as my everyday work bag, using it for my Dell XPS 15 laptop plus accessories. Sometimes I need to bring a DSLR, a couple lenses and a flash with me to work events and meetings outside of the office and the Everyday Messenger is perfect for those days. As sonicjet said, the Everyday Backpack could very well be the most perfect backpack ever created, though.

Peak Design backs everything up with a lifetime warranty, which is always nice. And their stuff is top quality - which is why I have six bags and counting and always seem to want to back their next new thing on Kickstarter each time.

I also have 20liter version. I like the utility of it and people who never heard of the Peak Design complemented on the design. But, compared Osprey backpacks, it's not as comfortable. I hope they come up with another version that has Osprey form with all the utilities of the current backpack. That would be my ultimate everyday backpack!

I don't have this but I do have the Peak Design 10L Sling which might actually be what a lot of you are actually looking for. The Sling is nice because you can cinch it right up against your back when you are walking which is really nice and super comfortable. Also just got the V3 capture clip a few days ago and it's still super comfortable with the DSLR attached on the outside.

The backpack is great but nothing is prefect. The laptop compartment is tiny. It shows stains very easily. The straps could use more padding. It very easy to forget to close a side zipper and have an expensive lens fall out.
