This 20% off for quantity 3 with subscribe and save deal is also working for quest chocolate chip cookies. It doesn't seem to work for any other flavor.
Not the best deal on the cookies, but I like the cookies way better than the bars. So I went for those. Thanks for sharing this!

I got a 12 pack of these a couple months ago and still have 11 left. They're gross
Compared to...? You realize that everything taste-related ends up subjective, and when it comes to a niche category like low-carb protein bars, nobody knows if you're comparing to a Snickers or anything else?

I'm in the camp of believing Quest has gone way downhill since their IMO heyday, but they still have one of the most palatable products in the segment. There's certainly tastier stuff if you want to add in 10-20g+ of carbs/sugar, but that generally defeats the purpose of the product.

Kirkland bars were my go-to at <$1 per bar until late last year, but then their manufacturer reformulated and made the bars awful. They're inedible bloaty messes for me now. So something like Quest at a marginally higher price is a pretty good find.

You talking about the Kirkland double chocolate/chocolate chip combo box? Those began to tear me up as well and I stopped buying. The newer chocolate peanut butter don't do this to me and taste way better imo.. you should give them a try if so

Agreed. The new Kirkland bars seem to be more moist aka softer than the first ones that came out. Can't go wrong with the brownie/chocolate chip combo box in my opinion.

I wish any of the Costcos near me carried anything but the chocolate chip and brownie box! I guess it's not that much more expensive online at $40 for 40.

I used to like all four of the flavors they had (cccd, brownie, cinnamon, pb), but haven't tried anything but those first two since the reformulation.

So the new "fiber from tapioca starch" ones for PB in the shiny wrappers are OK on your stomach despite the other flavors killing you, too? That's good to know if so, though I wonder why it'd be different.

I wish Clif bars went on sale like this. I love the way their chocolate builders bar tastes but it's expensive.

Screwing with S&S isn't worth it to me, especially after the recent policy concerns; $40.30 final for 36 bars is still a great price on these, though. Thanks!

Because it's not explicitly mentioned, it seems this price comes from stacking a deal of the day price with the item also qualifying for a "NY buy $50 get 20%" promotion. You're likely using your one opportunity on $10 here; not sure if there's anything as good or better.
What policy concerns? For all I know, you can just cancel subscribe and save any time you like without even providing a reason.

Referring to this discussion particularly:

https://slickdeals.net/f/12567832-psa-amazon-subscribe-save-check-your-order-history-closely-amazon-may-be-overcharging-you-for-certain-sd-purchases-edited-to-add-first-s-s-purchase-can-get-changed-first

Basically sounds like Amazon now can (and will) sometimes increase the price after your order but before it ships—even for the first time.

I have no interest in regularly monitoring my S&S logistics just to save a couple bucks (even more so than you already needed to), hence just doing normal orders.

$35.35 for 36 bars with tax. Oatmeal choc chip is one of the better flavors IMO.
I find the overhwhelming flavor of cinnamon too much for me
