There isn't much difference between 3000 and 3200 in regards to ryzen. Differences are noticed when it is like 2166 vs 3000+
That's true. But considering the price difference to jump to the 3200, it's better to go 3200 or wait for 3200 to drop into your budget. Multiple testers have shown that 3200 is the current value sweet spot for performance with the Ryzen platform. Ryzen is memory/speed hungry.

So if I buy 2 kits I get 32gb. Has anybody actually ever had issues combining kits?
If you're going to use with Ryzen, you perhaps may have some issues to overclock if you get different memory chip brands.

I bought 2 kits of Corsair Dominator sometime ago in Amazon.CA but each kit is running with different memory brand, and also one kit is single rank while the other one is dual rank. One is Hynix, the other one is Micron.

Talking about my Motherboard, Taichi X370, I'm able to overclock to 3000 MHz if I use BIOS version below 3.20. Above this version, I have to keep them running without overclocking =/.

So just beware of this fact. Maybe with the latest Ryzen and X470 plataform you'll be fine, but I just wanted to mention my case so you know it CAN happen, not that it WILL.

I am thinking of upgrading my Dell XPS 8920 desktop that currently has 8 GB of RAM. The crucial site says that I need DDR4 PC4-21300 • 16-17-17 • UNBUFFERED • NON-ECC • DDR4-2666 • 1.2V • 1024MEG X 64 ram. Will I be able to use this ram in my system?

Thanks in advance.

Does Intel CPU care as much ram speed as AMD CPU does?

CAS Latency 16 - not the greatest deal.

FYI, to determine latency in nanoseconds you take the (CAS Latency/Frequency)*2000

This comes out to 10.67 nanoseconds... not the greatest at this price.

Corsair just announced some new RGB technology for all of their products at CES 2019. If you're really into RGB, I would wait to see what new products they offer. Seems like RGB brightness, and performance will be much greater than it is now
I was about to buy this kit + I liked your way to determine latency in nanoseconds.
Thank you.

Performance as far as what? Extreme testing which no real world conditions would replicate? It's going to make 0 difference in your day to day usage, gaming, etc.

With 20MB of on-chip cache, memory bottlenecks will really only be apparent in synthetic benchmarks, or if you run a g-series Ryzen with integrated graphics.
