I was looking at the 750W version for $84.99 yesterday. This is a much better detail, especially after rebate. Thanks OP.

Would this work in an older Dell Optiplex 7010 mini tower? I shouldn't need it unless I upgrade my video card, but as old as the computer is (5+), my current PSU is probably on its last legs.

Yeah it should if it's the mini tower (which is wide enough for a horizontal cdrom). That's the exact same computer I have at work...it has a full size power supply.

This vs a pc power and cooling 750 from 2009?

Answering my own question: this 850 has 1/10th the ripple of my 750. Bought and repped. Thanks, op!

Looks like the price dropped another $10 from a similar AR sale last month.

I kidd you not, I think these power supplies are the ONLY thing I see rebates for nowadays on SD besides for motor oil and those odd SD-sponsored promotions.

I always appreciate the overbuilt nature of Seasonic PSUs. Bear in mind that they have peak efficiency in their 50% utilization range [tomshardware.com], so dont get some huge one thats going to sit idle everyday of the week except during holidays.

The days of SLI and extreme overclocking are behind me, and SSDs dont use anything, so I dont get anything above 650w anymore. The last platform that demanded a lot for me was X58 and an OCed i7-920 with two GTX 670s LMAO

Excellent psu in any aspect, but when I got my 750w in last July, I just receive my MIR check yesterday… that's horrible
