Dang sold out at BBY before I clicked all the way through my order 🙁

Good enough deal to pay AMZN without out cashing in BBY rewards though...

I'll bite. I've always wanted the stand itself. Now that it has an integrated watch charger it's even better. The construction and build quality of this stand is very nice, similar to the stands they have in the Apple Store displaying the iPhones but bigger.

Very simple and elegant design.

Comes with a mfi lightning cable (worth about $10). Comes with watch charger (worth $29 from Apple). Comes with wall adapter (worth $5-10).

And all in a nice space saving dock. It's not that expensive if you consider what you are getting. It's anotber question whether you *need* it or not.

The Reviews on Amazon are not great at only 3.6 out of 5.

I don't know if I'd want to use a charger where my phone is supported only by the lightning port...

There's a support behind the phone.

I like the idea but how long until the lightning charger piece is useless? iPhone 8/X/XS/XR all have wireless charging already and future models could go to usb-c.

I wouldn't count on USB-C. Apple has never done anything but their own charging standard (except wireless.)

The new iPad Pro is USB C right now....

I agree this is a nice stand though. The nice thing about the (other) Twelve South stands that don't include the lightening cable though is that I think you could probably swap the lightening cable for a USB C, if needed.

Amazon refused to deliver my stand and issued a refund. Has anyone else had this happen?
