Love electric and not having to worry about gas.

I got one of these a couple years ago, like it a lot. The mulching bag is pretty small but I rarely use it.
Only other complaint is that the grass plastic discharge attachment comes off too easy.

I don't want to have to worry about cutting grass all the time just to keep the length shorter, or worry about replacing a battery, so I had to pass on electric. My neighbor uses electric but they are out there almost every week cutting the grass (I'm assuming to keep it short for the electric motor). No thanks.

I've had various gas mowers and they always seemed to last 10 years so I figure it's going to be a long while before this needs replacement and the amount of gas it takes to cut the yard is not much...
If the grass gets high, it's no problem for this.

I think I got it for closer to $190 at the time. I'd definitely jump on this deal if I needed one.

Plan on he deck or other components breaking...while the motor keeps running.

I have one...and its very cheap feeling. Its light weight, so its easy to push on a small yard.

I have it and haven't had issues -although- have you noticed paint missing and rust under the deck? I have. Even with rinsing after the majority of cuts. I'm going to have to work on it before next season. But, I'd rather work on that than an engine. I had a couple mowers and once you start having carb problems it seems like they never go away. Threw in the towel eventually with repairing them and bought this one...

I was told that Lowe's stopped carrying Troy Bilt ... they must be clearing out all their old stock.

have an older version of this mower with same engine and had some bad issues with it after one season. the mower would surge from almost stalling to normal even when sitting still. had to rebuild the carb and install a fuel filter to get it to work consistently. I only mow my yard maybe four to six times a year (I think only twice last year) on average.

i do like the mulching ability. turns oak leaves to tiny bits sox they break down faster.
