I've had this one for a few months now, bought from a similar deal. Works to expected speeds on Fios Gigabit and has been frustration free. Using it with a Netgear Nighthawk with about 50 feet of ethernet between them.

How do these TP-Link switches compare to Netgear ones? I've seen netgear switches thrown into the back of small office closets for years, and they still work fine. Do the TP-Link versions have the same reliability?

I got in on the Deco M5 deal yesterday but I need more then the 2 Ethernet ports the Deco has. Can I plug in this switch to one of the ports on the Deco to get additional ports?

Looks like it was the same price on BF. I've been thinking about replacing my old linksys befsr41 v3 that I have been using as a switch. Would I see any benefit as far as running Plex? Reason I ask is I occasionally get a you network is not fast enough message

Yes, I believe so! Very plug and play. Theoretically you can even 'chain' them if you need more ports (not ideal though)

Agree. Don't waste money on a 5-port switch. 1 port is always used. That leaves you with just 4 ports. It is not much smaller than an 8 port switch, which can often be bought for $10-$15. Also, get one with metal case.
