I've taken both the icnd1 and icnd2 classes as a boot camp. It's super rough in a two week course. Lots of info. I would also argue that even though technology changes, the basics of networking and advanced techniques are used for long periods of time. This is a great price for this info..

At the ccna level you aren't learning just how to work in Cisco cli. You are learning networking skills that are vendor agnostic. A deep dive into OSI and how it works in networking. A deep dive into TCP/IP, ARP and OSPF. None of that stuff is going away anytime soon

This is towards CCNA certification if you're wondering.

"ICND1 is an exam associated with the Cisco CCENT exam and is a first step to ultimately achieving the CCNA Routing and Switching Certification. The skills developed in this course will assist you in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting small networks as well as working with Cisco routers and switches."

I mean, I'm all for extra resources, but is this worth it and has anyone actually used these resources to get their certification(s)?

I wonder if the lifetime access means access to the new material when it comes time to recertify. Not much of a point if its not.

For those who care: this is not the guy that the reddit ccna gurus recommend, but he is widely appreciated for his A+ and network+ classes, and as such gets honorable mention for secondary resources

CCENT (ICND1) and CCNA (ICND2) are both very valuable certs and will remain valuable as long as we use tcp/ip stack model (my safe bet for next 7-10 years at least, I know google got a different protocol they are testing right now, but god knows when we'll see it everywhere).
This certs with some entry level IT experience will get you 40-60 k job.
As of this exact author/company - just google the reviews and use multiple sources for your prep! Good luck!

Somehow I am not seeing the value. When technology is completely outdated in 3 years, your lifetime access may not be worth so much.
