Good deal if you need it now and missed the Fry's/Microcenter/Amazon deal at this price the other day. Although, really on the fence about Newegg ordering these days.

I use my PC for gaming and just other general stuff and no multi threaded heavy tasks. I was planning on the i9 but instead settled on the i5 9600k. It was if I remember right $245 + COD BO 4. Used the $255 savings at current sale price on Gigabyte Auros Master Z390 MB for $240 after rebate. Used extra $15 towards DDR4. Much better deal and value for my use. i9 is great but overkill for most.

These will certainly drop in price as ryzen 3 performance matches it with lower power consumption.

Yo, as a couple others have mentioned, AMD is about to spice up the competition in performance CPU's for the money. I would highly suggest you would wait until AMD drops their new line-ups.
