4 kids, we don't stock c batteries. Not much take c anymore and will likely be the dustiest/oldest battery on retail shelves. And 9 batteries? Poor design. What do u iu consider big? Size or output power?
A chunk of heater hose shoved down the battery tube of any C cell light can allow it to easily run AA's.

If I was going to buy a flashlight and "shove a chunk of heater hose" in it, I'd definitely get the flashlight at Walmart. It just seems right.

They sell adapters on Amazon and ebay that will let you use aa or aaa in place of c or d. Around $ 1 I've found (ebay). Depending on the mfg of adapter it's either 2 or 3 of the smaller ones. They both need to keep bigger sizes.

Amazon usually has cheap flashlights that use 18650 and they work really well. Idk if any on sell now but I got one before for $9 with battery and like $5 without but it's better to get own battery anyways like an efest

High output batteries like 18650. This whale uses 3 large batteries to get only 600 lumens, my single battery 18650 light 1/3 this size is rated at 1000 lumens....c and d battery mag lights are antiquated technology, useful if you need to club something I guess.

Walmart in San Tan Valley, AZ 85143 has about 25 of them (Maglite 3-cell) at $14/each. I got 3.

Very easy to power these flashlights with old 18650 cells! Average I got about 2 to 3 hrs at highest brightest level out of each charge.

They sell adaptors for c to aa. With LED, the don't draw much power any more.

Correct, but read the other posts. You are still buying an old flashlight. Much better choices out there.
