Note the one in the review is the previous model. See the "smile" text on dial compared to the straight text on the newer model as an example.

Tempting, but prefer black bezel and gold hands.

Excellent watch. It should also come with a fabric strap which is way better than the $20 NATOs on Amazon.

Great price but if you end up wanting the bracelet expect to spend another $700-800

A wise man once told me "rich people don't get and stay rich by giving their money away". Some of the richest people are also some of the most frugal people. Strategically, that makes perfect sense. Just because someone has more money doesn't mean that they are no longer interested in saving some cash and that they won't seek out good deals.

I used to think the same way, but after I bought a few watches with silicone straps, I actually prefer them over metal.

Agreed. I typically switch up for a decent leather or high quality Nato over the metal bracelet. Lighter, more comfortable (for me anyway).

I go for watch variants that have the steel bracelet, not because I prefer steel but rather it's easier and cheaper to source a nice leather (or other material) band. It's almost always more expensive and tedious to find the correct steel bracelet if you started without it.

Why? That makes no sense. Saving money on things means you have more money to buy other things.
