Amazon has the blue and green baseplates for 5.99 as part of the add-on program.

Target has the blue for $5.99. Save a whopping 30 cents with Redcard.

Picked up a couple of each color for the kids.

Brickyard brand (Amazon) also makes great baseplates in 4-packs for $16. Just fyi...4.8/5 on Amazon with over 2,000 reviews. We built a 60" x 30"' table with them last year.

In many ways, they're an improvement over original LEGO. IMHO.

Best to buy from Target if you have Redcard. Both colors.

It seems that green baseplates I have seen lately are a brighter green than the ones you traditionally got with certain sets in the recent past. Any idea why the color changed?

They are. For no other reason than LEGO decided to do that. Since 2015 the green ones sold individually at retail are bright green.

LEGO 626 [brickset.com](Brickset) is what you remember.

Thanks for the info. If you're designing a large layout, the bright green just looks a little garish to me.

I agree, they are much thicker and more stable. you can also stick Legos to the bottom unlike the name brand Lego ones.

There is also the grey 15x15 baseplate on sale at $9.99 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NHQF...oCbAF0MNSE). According to 3C, it is the lowest price ever.
