I watched this with my dad when I was 6 years old, darkness scared the shit outta me for years! lol

Great movie,

I found the actress to be a really good co star (Catherine Mary Stewart) and (Robert Preston) also, but I felt like the main protagonist (Lance Guest) didn't feel like he was ready for the part, I wish Michael J Fox grabbed the main role but not sure if he auditioned for it.

A sequel is mentioned to be in the works

I think someone mentioned the book Armada - Ernest Cline to be almost the same plot.
