A: The range on the waist is 29 - 31 inches but you can easily go to 32 ...maybe 33. With 32" waist there is still plenty of room. If you're 34" go medium.
The leg length, the inseam, is 30" on the small.
I'm 5'8", 153lbs, slim build and usually wear 32x30 or 32x32 jeans size. I went with the mediums and found them too big for my taste; legs too long, seat and thigh area too loose and bulky. I wanted the pants to fit like those on the model. Returned the M's and ordered the S's; they fit perfectly. You can read my review dated 27 Oct 17.
I ordered small in ladies according to the size charts for my gf and they were too big.
