Not recommended for PoE, as the wires are very thin.

( 30 AWG is about 1/2 the diameter and 4x the resistance of 24 AWG. If you are looking for a cable for PoE look for cat5e/6 cable with copper wire at 23-24 AWG )

psa: unshielded, not for poe use.

cable connectivity failure is rare - at issue are packet retries which increase latency.

I freaking love these things. I know that the thinner gauge should be giving me some apprehension, but they work great and seeing them sitting next to a regular CAT5e or CAT6 cable really turns some heads.

For comparison, I bought a bulk order of the 5 ft 5-packs for my work in Oct 2017 @ roughly $4 per 5-pack. Haven't had a cable fail on me yet, although I will admit I haven't use them all yet.

Picked up a couple of the 1' packs -- 50 cents a cable! Couldn't make them on my own for that cheap. I've got a bunch of stuff plugged into my switch in the basement, but I'm currently using a random assortment of longer cables I've had laying around. This will do wonders for straightening that up.

Either the specific item with promo code is not available for the price anymore or somehow I'm doing something wrong... Tried adding 2x of the last listed item, I think it's the 7ft 5pack, and it's something like $16 instead of $11. I guess I'll pass

Limit one code per order.
However, you can mix and match within the code.

I got 1 each of the 5ft and 7ft 5-packs for $10.50

Why, regardless of browser or home/work network, can I never get Monoprice's website to work right? If I click on an item and try to change the color or cable length, the wheel turns nonstop and the page never refreshes. Works fine on my phone (Safari) though

Still looks to be working for me. Are you using the right promo code? It's SLIMA for the short ones, SLIMB for the longer ones. Make sure you have the applicable color as well.

Can anyone confirm whether these are CCA crap, or proper OFC cables?

I read "Pure Bare Copper Wire" seems odd to say this...
