totally agree. what i think is awesome about this as well is it can easily be used to expand a laptop's storage in the sd slot for a reasonably large steam game drive at a really decent price. i mean, especially for those of us without other storage capacity upgrade options, this should work just fine! i rarely tried loading games from sd cards much in the past, but i've been pleasantly surprised by load times with pc games on sdxc these days.

Can this really be used as a secondary hd in a laptop?

yup! i had originally used my laptop sd card slot for just transferring files, but recently i mounted my new sdxc and assigned a different drive letter than what was originally assigned (unnecessary, but i wanted a different letter), then went into steam and created a new steam library folder in the settings & started playing hitman 2. ran perfectly! think of android devices and nintendo consoles--they run games and load files from sd/micro sd cards Smilie

Did you mean Nikon d3400? Their product page says it supports the SDXC standard, so you should be ok.

I have the Amateur card and it's not great, but this is the Professional version and should be better.

Isn't Lexar out of buisness? The angry photographer does not recommend these for Fuji cameras.

Nikon has a PDF with compatible cars. Many of the large capacity cards are NOT compatible, so be sure to check. Google it should be on their website...

Also, awful reviews on Amazon!

Micron closed them in 2017. Chinese company Longsys bought the brand name Lexar, also in 2017. Lexar memory now has no relationship to the old Lexar. But it promises all the high end quality you have come to expect from formerly no name manufacturers in China who buy a known brand name.

This. For DSLR cameras a lot of photographers only use 32gb or 64gb cards. I forget which photog recommended 32gb instead, but their biggest concern was if a card fails - you lose less. I'm a fan of 64gb, even when I shoot RAW+JPG I still get roughly 1,800 of each per card.

FYI be careful of Lexar, I submitted warranty claim 3 months ago for 2 SD Cards and to date they have not resolved the issue. I'm getting the run around something about reorganization. This is ridiculous. Be careful.

Unless you are looking for one for a PS Vita.
