Yes those of you asking about price. I make my own jerky. 9 lb I made two nights ago left me with around 4 lb. I use eye of round which can be found for around 2.50 at most Sam's Clubs. I factor in around 1.75 for marinade/seasonings per 5 lbs of meat or so... while it comes out to around $10 per pound dried, it is SIGNIFICANTLY better...

It does take 2-3 pounds of meat to make 1 pound of jerky, depending on how moist you like it.

It was 12.98$ for awhile and then OOS. I'll keep waiting... 11.44$ still isn't bad for teriyaki or original.

I'm still waiting for the $8 per 12 oz bag of World Kitchens deal to come back.

Now THAT was a good deal on good beef jerky.

Geez... $11.44/lb for dried meat? you can get good steak at the supermarket for cheaper than that!

Good price but I don't get Amazon's prime delivery. If I want it in two days (Tuesday) Amazon is making me pay an extra $8.99. Otherwise free delivery Wednesday.

do you have a link or recipe on how you personally go about doing this? do you need dehydrator or will an oven suffice?
