Don't care enough to bother searching, but I'd swear I've seen something like this for like half the price on eBay. Might be worth the extra cost if you care about good customer service, tho.

The problem with ebay is all the fakes.

Funny this pops up today. Just came in from taking a few head shot pics of my young tenant. As an OLDer person I had trouble holding the phone steady and recalled almost buying a Ulanzi holder.

Going to order one today. Just realize if you order something from an offshore company it can take weeks to get to you unless you can pay extra for rush shipping.

Difficult to say without model comparisons but I own a Joby and the tripods for a few bucks on ebay. No comparison, Joby is larger and far more functional/rigid than the cheap eBay tripods

Yeah, because there's HUGE money in fake mini-tripods. SMH...
Don't know how much money is in the fake tripod industry, but I've purchased an off brand mini tripod before and they suck. If you're going to be putting your expensive electronic equipment on a tripod, get one that's reliable. Joby is reliable and this is a great price for one

Thanks, you sold me! I have been wanting one of these for a while to help with videos of the kids during bdays, xmas, etc. Was waiting until i was near a five below store to pick one up. But I'd rather trust a durable and reliable stand with phones that are 1k+ vs off brands.

I don't see a remote on this tripod.

Is that something to hold out for?

I guess you'd have to rely on the camera timer without one

A number of camera apps work with Bluetooth headset input. Not sure which combinations work. Almost every phone will snap a picture with a wired headset if you press the "answer call" button
