The next best deal for this model is probably on the Office Depot website itself, where they're running the $529 deal. Tax might push that one out of being a "deal," depending on what you're looking for. In this price range, if you don't NEED the full 2 in 1 feature, the Huawei Matebook D (w/ Ryzen 5 chip..new from $529, newegg), and Acer Swift 3 (w/ 8250U chip & intel graphics OR MX130.. refurb/new from $490-$550, amazon, ebay, newegg) are better 14" laptops, IMHO.

The Ryzen 5 has similar performance to the 8th gen 8250U i5. The same is to be said for the Ryzen 7 and i7, as well as the Ryzen 3 to i3. There are some things where the ryzen 5 outperforms something such as an i5 8250U, and others where it does not. Also, generally speaking, if an intel I3/5/7 chip is paired with Intel integrated graphics (and no dedicated graphics card), the Ryzen should outperform the intel with regards to graphics.
