I got three of these last time they were offered ($12.99 each). They are definitely worth the money for the following reasons:

Easy installation - if you can screw in a light bulb and install a smartphone application you should be all set.
Can put the lights on a schedule
Can control the brightness and color
Can group the bulbs together and make changes across all of them in the group

The only negative I can think of versus a smart plug or switch is that the power needs to be left on for the bulbs to operate. You can power them on/off through the application, schedule, Alexa or IFTTT. If you are used to using a light switch it may be awkward.

I have 4 of the LB130 bulbs. I love them but mine do the colors as well. I find them incredibly awesome. They don't require a hub and with Google it's super damn nice to have lights that are harder to reach to turn on with a few words. Plus you can use the Kasa app to turn on the lights when you're away from home.

I have the 110's and 120's. I like the bulbs over smart plugs so far although I don't think I'd pay a premium for the tint control personally. Both the 110's and 120 models are dimmable, 120 just changes the tint of WHITE light. Works well with Google Home.

I always wanted to buy a bunch of these and have them change color temperature throughout the day (a feature in Home Assistant, but maybe these support it natively), but I'm always too turned off by the price.

These support it natively. The temperature changes to match the time of day.

In my opinion, white only smart lights shouldn't cost more than 10 bucks each. You can get quality colored lights for $12-13.
