Identical network, except there are a few random areas in the US where you would pay 20 cents/min roaming.

This versus Xfinity, $45 unlimited on VZW network...seems like Xfinity wins, aside from being a shit company.

It's fine unless you're at a stadium or other super-high-density location, at which point the deprioritization can be brutal. It's much better than 3rd party MVNOs that run on VZW's network though.

Kinda sucks to be stuck with the regular 8gb plan for the remainder of 2 years because of a huge new phone discount metered out monthly...

If Verizon coverage worked for me I'd go with Total Wireless. Red Pocket is another option but I'm really struggling with my port to them right now so can't recommend their service.

Unless you only have one line, the Total Wireless deal is still better for the amount of data you get for the cost: https://slickdeals.net/f/12118864-total-wireless-50-more-data-for-ported-in-number-33-2

That is, unless you would rather go into a store for assistance and help, Verizon is the way to go.

You must be an Xfinity internet customer though to qualify for their mobile service. I live in an area where Spectrum has the cable, not Xfinity, so this deal through Verizon prepaid is available to everyone, no matter what cable company you have. I wouldnt use Spectrum or Xfinity anyway as I am on the fiber gigabit deal with CenturyLink for $65/month.

prepaid service was terrible for me. I had texts not going through, slow data, and phone call quality that was bad. I ported to AT&T prepaid and haven't had an issue yet.

Might have been your area or phone. I have the iphone XS on verizon prepaid in the Orlando, FL area and service is excellent, great call quality, no missed texts and my download speed just tested in my home with wifi off was 28Mbps download and 18.19Mbps upload.

Could be my area. I have a Pixel XL unlocked but Verizon prepaid was one of the worse I've had as a cell provider.

Anyone know if hotspot is included in this? I have tmobile 10gig prepaid right now, but for the same price to get 5 extra gigs I am tempted. Even though tmobile has way better coverage in Chicago compared to VZ.

Someone mentioned xfinitiy mobile, the cellphone service is trash, have friends who have it and travel regularly and their connectivity is always spotty at best. When they go to Michigan they cant be reached for sometimes days, so it might not be full VZ coverage.

Yes, mobile hotspot is included on all verizon prepaid plans except the unlimited plans. That is what drew me to verizon prepaid as I really wanted hotspot included.
