Verizon Fios 100/100 Internet $45 Month Existing Customers w/ 2 Year Agreement YMMV

Figured I would pass this along as it may help some people. My initial one year at $40 deal with FIOS is about to expire and I wanted to reup. Just agreed to a two year contract at $45 (inclusive of all taxes) to keep the same service after a quick chat with FIOS support. I provide my own router and do not pay anything additional.

Yes, you can probably deal with cancelling service and resigning up with FIOS or go to another provider (optimum for me). But for me its just not worth it and this seemed very fair to not have to deal with this hassle for a few more years.

Login to your FIOS account and go to the shop tab. After a minute or so a chat box will open and they will ask you if you are shopping for a contract renewal.

Of course new customers are still eligible for the $40 plus potentially other bonus goodies.

I left Fios for Spectrum and it was like a huge downgrade. I'll be going back to fios soon as a rep comes knocking on my door with a great deal.

I personally use Linksys WRT3200ACM but there are tons of good options out there.

I currently have this deal, called them when my old promotion was over and threatened to cancel, then they offered me this. Also use my own router too

Nice that Verizon is apparently willing to hang onto a customer. Too bad AT&T isn't similarly motivated. My one year Uverse/net deal ($113/monthly) is up next week. I stopped into the AT&T store and also called their "loyalty" dept to see what they could do. After telling me that the increase would be to $189/monthly for the same exact service, they said they could offer me a $10/monthly discount. Whoo hoo!

So now I'll do the switch back to Comcast and pocket the $250 in rewards cards I got for signing up with AT&T last year. Hell of a customer acquisition cost AT&T!

Can you buy a used fios router elsewhere, instead of renting/buying directly from Verizon? Would Verizon hassle you for not getting the router directly from them? TIA

Yes, you don't have to rent it from them. I'm using my own router. The technician just installed the FIOS equipment and I connected it to my router.

I scheduled to disconnect my service and they didn't hesitate to offer me the OPs deal.
Hoping they come calling with a new offer. If not, I'll just call them again and see if they'll play ball w the $45 offer again

I chatted with them today (1/29). It offers for $49.9 for 100/100 2 years contract. I asked for $45. They said it is not in the account. I guess, the deal is only offer from time to time, not every day.

Any recommendations for a MoCA gateway? Verizon says there would be a fee to run ethernet in my apartment.
