Okay, not as good as for stills. But I manually focus for video anyway.

Not as good as Sony or Canon cameras. The video quality is good, but the video autofocus isn't as good as the competition. There's also no IBIS on the D850.

Great camera, but if you're using it for video or for hybrid-shooting, there's better options out there. The image quality is one of the best there is for stills, as usually this camera and the Sony A7RIII are considered the top of the class for full-frame sensor cameras.

Look into a Panasonic GH5 for video. It's really popular with youtubers.

Will this work for dashcam in my Honda civic?
Yes, it'll be perfect for a dashcam. Also if you could let me know where you park your car on regular basis that'd be great.

And indie filmmakers. Throw on a Voigtlander 17.5mm F0.95 [vimeo.com] ($800) and you have a fantastic setup that is definitely award entry tier. For $1600~ all in it is simply incredible what filmmakers can get these days, compared to even just ten years ago. Throw in a gimbal and some audio gear, you have amazing potential for under $2K out the door.

These Nikon FF cameras are cool for still photo photographers who have Nikon's gear already. For newbies, for still photos do what the industry itself is doing and go mirrorless (Sony, Fuji, etc) and for videographers look at either RED ($$$) or M43 ($-$$$) depending on budget.

If you want the best of both worlds get a Panasonic G9. Has IBIS and can do 4k60 as well. Has the reputation of the best stills M43 camera and has a lot of the advantages of the GH5. Cant do 10bit recording though, its 8bit.

Not as well as a handheld selfie camera.

Only if it's equipped with Mugen stickers.
