There are a couple of recent laptop deals that could use an NVMe boot drive in addition to an existing HDD (Samsung Notebook 5, Lenovo Ideapad 330S). Most current deals are for larger NVMe drives but a 128GB boot drive + 1TB HDD combo is perfect for a lot of people. This drive has DRAM cache for those who are interested in knowing.

Double the capacity for only $10 more seems like a much slicker deal.

Also, this is nvme but has m+b key. I thought nvme was m key only and m+b key was sata III?

128GB seems like a waste of the only M.2 slot in most systems.

I know it's what a lot of people think, and that's why 128GB drives aren't made much anymore. In reality if you have a HDD right next to it, 128GB is perfect for a lot of people. My current 128GB+1TB setup hasn't even filled either drive yet so you can save $10. The SSD for OS and some apps, HDD for media. If you want or can only have have a single drive then you certainly might want more.
