The lawsuit argues that Canada Dry violated certain laws in the marketing and advertising of Canada Dry Ginger Ale in the United States that the Products were inappropriately marketed as being "Made from Real Ginger." The defendants deny any wrongdoing and contend that the Products have always been truthfully marketed and labeled, and always properly disclosed the ingredients. To settle the cases the Defendants have agreed not to use the phrase "Made from Real Ginger" on the Products.

Lol I hear the lawyers get most of the money in these kind of lawsuits. I feel it'll be best if the company just do a good deed like donate a bunch of money to a good cause.

I got an error. I'll try again later. I have bought at least five or six, and maybe as many as ten twelve-packs over that period. Is that forty cents per can, forty cents per twelve-pack, or ???

Does that mean Canada dry does not have real ginger?
"But Canada Dry's ginger flavor extract is not 'real ginger' as reasonable consumers understand that term," says the class-action lawsuit filed earlier this month in New York federal court. "It is manufactured in a lab using various chemicals and extraction processes."

The soda contains "some ginger compounds," the suit notes, but only in a "minuscule amount" amounting to less than two parts per million.

She accuses the Plano, Texas-based DPSG of capitalizing on the claim that Canada Dry is "made from real ginger" – and even using commercials where workers pull up the plant's roots on "Jack's Ginger Farm" with the voice over, "Real ginger, real taste."

"Within six months of adding the claim, Canada Dry sales skyrocketed by almost 9 percent, and continued to increase every year thereafter – even with sales of regular sodas continuing to decline," the suit says.

CURRENT INGREDIENTS:
Carbonated Water, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate (Preservative), Natural Flavors, Caramel Color.

But the companies wouldn't do anything if the lawyers didn't win cases showing they did something wrong. They're not doing this out of the goodness of their hearts and lawyers don't work for free.
