I have a new doorbell that just had the 30 day initial subscription run out. Should I renew before or after activating this year extension.? Does it matter?
Can you disable the wifi extender part of the the chime pro? I don't have wifi issues and don't want to introduce any unnecessary traffic with the extender. I belive these wifi extenders cut your wifi speeds in half

This is a great deal if this will move you into multiple devices and you are already paying the $30 plan. Here is my experience with the plan coverage part:
1) I emailed Ring support to ask how it would work with my existing pre-paid $30 plan for my doorbell. They responded that "The Costco bundle you have mentioned comes with 12-month free Ring Protect Plus Plan that will cover all the devices on the particular location including your old device thus making your previous subscription unnecessary." They indicated that once I install the floodlight, they would prorate refund my $30 plan.
2) I installed floodlight
3) I emailed back to support using the thread promising me the Ring Protect Plus plan and a prorated refund. I am not sure if every agent handles this the same way, so if it were me, I would do like I did and get it in writing first.
4) Within 5 business days, I had a prorated refund on my credit card for my $30 plan.
The protect plus plan extends all your product warranties as long as you have the plan, and you can continue to add devices at no additional cost.

Do it after. I believe once you install the floodlight you will get another 30 days of cloud service free and then you can have the 12 month subscription kick in. That will take care of both your devices
If you install 2 devices simulanteously you still only get 12 months of coverage. Tried it and Ring cust service wouldn't do anything for me.
Thanks for sharing, I was actually considering getting another one, but since I just activated my other in the last month, I would basically be giving away $100 of coverage if I bought now - I'll just wait until my current 12 months are close to running out. They seem to run this deal very frequently lately.
Thinking of getting this for above the garage door. Would this serve the same purpose as the doorbell? Would I need both?
Depends on where they are - the floodlight has a wide view, wider than my doorbell, but I wouldn't put them within 15-20 horizontal feet of each other as there would be too much overlap. Of course, this is just referring to the camera functionality, the lights on the floodlight are significant and a totally different purpose from the doorbell.

Could you buy 2 and register 1. Then after 12 months register the other to get another 12 months?

I paid 365.40 after taxes for two. 182.70 each with no chime and subscription.
This is $219 after taxes for one (comes with Ring Chime Pro ($49.99 on amazon) + $30 subscription).
