Costco members normally can purchase the Dell U2718Q for $449.99 but a promotion is currently running for $80 off bringing the price down to $369.99. Solid deal IMHO. Shipping costs $9.99.

Edit: Promotion duration: "$80 manufacturer's savings** is valid 1/28/19 through 2/25/19. While supplies last."

Higher refresh rate (hz) gives a smoother visual experience for movement onscreen. Biggest pro for this is in gaming, especially first person shooters. 4k gives you a significant boost in pixel count (basically 2x) which means a sharper image for most programs (Windows scaling can have issues in some cases). At 4k on a 27, you aren't going to see individual pixels unless you put your nose on the screen. At 2k on this size, you'll still be hard pressed to see pixels at a reasonable distance. But if you're a close-sitter, you may notice them at times.

That's the gist anyways. I'd say if your primary purpose is gaming, and you have a graphics card that can push 100+ FPS, go with the higher refresh rate. If your use is <50% gaming, you have a tougher choice, but personally I'd go with the 4k.

I got this monitor a few weeks ago on a similar sale. Love it! I'm a designer working on a MacBook Pro... perfect combo

definitely not a bad price, but I am waiting for an HDR capable version, perhaps not from Dell (too pricy), from Acer and Asus, as they released a bunch of new ones so hopefully the 2018 models will drop in price

Says HDR10 on the Dell website specs and HDR on Costco specs so it certainly has HDR! Looks like it should support xbox one x HDR10 output as well.

This monitor supports HDR over HDMI. Relevant dell thread [dell.com].
