Looking for a good deal to replace a bunch of mic stands... but $25 with a mic included seems sketch. Can anyone speak to the quality of this brand/deal?

Mic is cheap. Berhinger 8500 is what I loan out when I don't want to lose a SM58.

Technical Pro are a few steps below Behringer. The XLR cables will likely not survive being plugged in 3-4 times, and I wouldn't trust the mic stand either. This is no real deal unless you're doing karaoke with your kids.

Sorry, I'm new to this and happen to see your comment about Karaoke for kids. Is it hard to set up karaoke with this? I don't have anything to start with. Please help with required setup for karaoke. Thanks a mil!

We have something similar to this going to a Harbinger M60 PA in our basement. We're also feeding the PA the audio output from a pc that has its display going to a 40" lcd tv. Every piece of equipment was a prior slickdeal. Go to YouTube, search almost any song with the word karaoke added to the end, let the fun begin.
Edit: Forgot to mention - you'll need an HDMI cable to get the display to the TV and a 1/8" stereo to RCA cable to get the audio from the PC output to the PA input.
Unless you are roadieing for Joe Walsh, this setup will be fine for home setup and karaoke. It's $25. A pro stand could cost 5x and I guarantee you it is not 5 times stronger. You can buy 5 of these and last a lot longer.

This is a good deal though you could potentially buy some things separately for the same price. Is this good for youtube? I just wanted to put a shotgun style mic on the arm so it's closer to me.
