Jiffy Lube, where if your air filter ain't dirty, we'll make it dirty.
Jiffy Lube, prepare to bend over and get Lubed.

I suspect local management of individual shops makes a big difference, unfortunately on the whole the chain has earned a horrible reputation for poor work and scamming customers.

Just FYI nearly all locations accept gift cards, but some do not. Look up your specific one on the website and if it does, it will be listed under amenities. You'd hate to find out when you go to pay.

Here's an observation I'd like to share about changing your own oil. This past weekend I was changing the oil on my RAV4 and unbelievably it comes standard with a plastic oil filter housing. For those who don't know, it is ancient technology compared to simply removing and installing a new filter. Anyway, using the special tool you must buy in order to remove the housing, one of the plastic teeth broke off and it started spurting oil before I had even loosened it up. I would guess that if this happened a a jiffy oil change place half of the techs would simply clean up the housing and fill it in with epoxy - or some such bogus repair. Only to leave you with a seized engine when the "fix" eventually broke. Doing it myself, I knew better and I bought a new filter housing. Call me paranoid but I knew some of those techs as a teenager and they didn't give a rip about anything other than their next paycheck and where they'd score some good Mary Jane.

Stay away from these quick oil change places as others have said. They don't allow enough time to actually drain the old oil as well as try to hose you on other things.

I went to one of these places once soon out of college and they tried to tell me 3 of my 4 lights were out...they had me in the driver seat while I was turning them on and off. I denied replacement and my wife helped me check when I got home- all lights were functioning correctly. Complete scam!!
