I built my desk last summer and these bit sets went on sale and grabbed the impact 34 piece set. They worked great the entire time! It was nice having the different length bits, I ended up using a beefier quick exchange bit as the one included worked, but was very shallow, so if I was in an awkward angle trying to drive a scree in, it sometimes slipped.

Overall, I was very happy with the set.

This is a strange set. They include a few long bits but it would be more beneficial to just have magnetic extensions. Once those bits wear out you have to toss them

I like the Dewalt better than the Milwaukee sets.

The long bits are nice when there isn't a lot of clearance. Sometimes the extensions get in the way.

Fat max tape measure is the only worth it in my book,
Drill bits are cheap with jazzed up advertising... black oxide coating just sounds tough and has to be expensive lol

Are these impact-quality bits, or merely black-colored?

Confused.

Why is that Dewalt 34 pc set called a drill bit set when it doesn't contain any actual drill bits?

That 34 pc set is a driver bit set, not a drill bit set imho.

I clicked on it thinking it was going to be some drill bits with hex shank, but its just driver bits.

The 16 pc set is a drill bit set, but not the 34 pc set.

As for those asking, yes, the above Dewalt driver bit set is 'impact ready.'

Can I know if these are wood or metal or masonry bits?

The dewalt bits are intended for plastic, wood, and metal. But saying that, they will wear pretty quickly if being used on metal of any thickness. These cheap drill bits are fine for most wood/plastic use, but if you are going to be drilling metal consistently, get some higher quality and longer lasting bits made of HSS, Cobalt, or TiN.

These are NOT masonry bits.

That's a good deal, but most will probably find that they are unavailable.

Was thinking the same. It's not at all a drill bit set.
